Any recommendations for drive axle assembly replacement?

I've got another CV boot belching grease and wondered if anyone would recommend replacing the drive axle assembly as a unit. Looks like NAPA has them for about $100. I paid $180 to the dealer last time just for boot replacement.

Seems like a straight forward job for the home mechanic - any thoughts on such a statement?

Folks!!

Are you talking axle replacement or boot replacement? An OEM replacement boot kit (P/N 04438-35060) cost ~$25.00.
