I'm going to try to find someone to swap with first and see if that will pinpoint the rims as the source of my vibration issues above 65 mph. If it does, I'd like to get a set of 4th gen wheels to go on there. There is a set on Ebay right now for a pretty darn good price. Anyway, if you're running 4th gen wheels on your 3rd gen 4Runner, please post your experience with them. Thanks.

I have the tundra 17's on my 4runner. The 5" offset rubbed my upper a-arm with the lift. Took so shaving, but working. I hope to replace them with a 4" offset wheel at some point.

I'm getting a set of the 05 tacoma 16" alloy wheels tomorrow night. Not sure how they will look but I will post pics when I get them on.

Looks like the general consensus off those threads is Sequoia or Tundra wheels. I'll have to check Ebay and see what's out there. I've sent numerous PMs to people after reading those threads, but are there any spacers necessary or any modification at all for that matter, in order to put these wheels on a 3rd gen? I don't have any kind of lift kit and most folks in those threads do. Thanks.

What about these....

Based off what I've read, there should be no issues with spacing, rubbing, etc.

Well, I chickened out on the wheels that are in the Ebay link above. The bid started at $250 and was at $430 when I was ready to bid on them at the last minute. I don't have my truck this week, so really it was bad timing. I couldn't measure the amount of tread left on my Cross Terrains to see how much I might can get for them, I couldn't compare the height of the new wheels with stock size tires to what I've got now, etc. Bad timing.

There's about three more sets out there on Ebay, but all come with the crap stock tire on them. Either Dunlop AT20 or Bridgestone Dueler HT. I had Dueler HTs on my 4Runner when I bought it, and I only got about 30k miles out of them, with regular rotation and alignment. I'm sure the Dunlops are just as bad. Not to mention the fact that if you get one that is bad (ie very high road force) you're stuck!!! I seriously doubt the Ebay seller would exchange the tire.

I guess I just need to be patient and keep checking Ebay.
