Anti-lock question...

The other day my anti-lock system engaged when I hit the brakes on some wet leaves. There was a loud buzzing sound that came from the front of the truck on the passenger side. I know that the anti-lock "brain" is on the right front fender.

Is this normal? This is the first time that my anti-lock engaged.

Thanks,
Noel

Ok Ok Ok...I just realized that I am a loser and misspelled "lock" in the subject. My wife is sitting here laughing at me.

Bring on the heckling...

I dont see anything wrong with subject now.. No heckling see!!

I have a question, did you you notice the ABS in the brake pedal at all.. Sometimes, when Im in the grass or off pavment and apply (or slam) the brakes I get narley brake feedback and hear a weird moaning noise.. I never listened to see where she was coming from though... Id say if you get the same pedal feedback, Im sure thats what it is, and normal yes....

Did the sound come from inside or outside of the truck?

It seemed to come from outside the truck. I think I said that it seemed to come from the right front, in the engine bay. That is where the anti-lock actuator is located.

Hey Chris, thanks for correcting my spelling...
I don't remember getting any pedal feedback. I could have but I was paying more attention to the noise. I might just try and slam the brakes the next time it rains to see what happens.

Oh, yea...I did for get to mention that I have a slightly warped rotor that I have not yet replaced. I don't know if this matters, I just thought I should mention it.
