Another OME Lift, with pics.

I finally did it!!! I picked the 881 / 891 setup with 60028 for rear shocks (Toytec doesn't do the 60027 due to to many complaints, I was told). I'm glad for that because I think I ride pretty good (even with a light rear end). Went with the 891 for rear because I will have a bumper built and for hauling tools \ camping gear.

Took me under 4 hours to do this lift myself, with all basic tools. That was without doing the diff drop, that came in a day later so I did that then. With that, it took me longer to take the skid plate off and put back on then it did to install the drop kit.

Ride? It's nice. I like it. Highway it's strong and stable. Corners around town is so much firmer then stock. Again, feels very stable. Now going over speed bumps and such, yes it's a hard ride in the back. But I knew that going into this. Again, I will be adding weight to the back end in the near future. I do have a rake at the moment, about 1 inch. In a way, I like it. But it will be lower once there's weight in the rear.

Nice thing is, I can now walk under the rear hatch when it's open. No more smacking my head!!!!

Here's some pics....

EDIT:
Couple of Before Pics:

My Lightforce? Never used all four of them, so I took two off. With Lightforce you can buy different lense covers. I still have my yellow ones, but in the summer months I run those blacked out amber colored ones.

Gotcha Yellow/amber lenses are like fishing lures to me! Love the look and function.

Nice! I know this is a little bit old, but if you don't mind, could you measure from the center of the hub to the top of the wheel well front and back? I'm interested in this same lift and want to see how much I might gain.

Did you add the optional top plate spacers to bring the front up to 3" as listed on Toytec's site?

Thanks!

Nice rig ... question did you mod the projectors into the headlights that you had or did you buy those headlights?
