Another HID thread. No ebay here lol.
Ive been looking for nice HID kits to replace the bad ones in my 03 tacoma. My question is would it be possible/legal to run a 55/50watt ballast in the stock housing without burning it up. If not whats a better alternative? I would like to stay right at 200$ for a quality kit excluding aftermarket housings ect ext
Ive been looking at this kit.

My next question is whats the difference in the phillips style?
Would it be beneficial to run a bi/xenon for high beams as well or will it sacrifice the low beam angle to much?
Thank you

Op, do a search by using the search bar on this forum. There's quite a few of write ups / guides on projector installation. (Products from TRS website you posted). Also i did make a new thread - write up guide for my installation. I'm not sure what your state laws says about high beams, safe to get bi xenon. Only problem about quality/performance for low beam is that if you aim it too low, you wont get much light spread. Not much of a problem to worry about
Might wanna save up another hundred bucks and do it right with projectors not bulbs kit. you're fine with 50w ballast, that's what i use. My set up below
1 x Bi-xenon FX-R Stage III Kit (FXRStageIII) = $355.00
Wire Harness Relay: H4/9003
Shrouds Gatling Gun
Projectors LHD (North American Standard)
Re-sealing Glue Yes please
CCFL Angel Eyes Yes
Bulbs Morimoto 5Five 5000K D2S
Ballasts Morimoto 5Five (50w)
And link to my thread below.
