Another header question?

For those with headers. My downey headers are leaking. They leak where the exhaust pipe slides on the end of the headers. I have double clamped them and they sill leaking. I can tighten them up and they are fine for a week or so then leak again. Has anyone else had this problem? Any easy solutions other than welding a flange and making the pipe and header bolt together.

Yeah thought about that as a last resort option because I don't want to have to get the saw out if I need to remove for some reason.

I'd have to agree... get them welded. If anything they can just run a pipe sleeve over the cut and weld that together.

Don't really think you have all that many good alternatives.

could always have a flange welded to them, and to your exhaust pipe

Mine are welded at the collectors but the crossover pipe is flanged and bolted in. I had reocurring issues with leaking, but I went to copper gaskets and haven't had a problem in months.
