aftermarket rearview mirror
I did a search on them and only found a thread pointing to the Donnelly site. It shows their mirrors but doesnt specify where to get them or what trucks they fit. I am looking to put one in that has temp and possibly a compass.
Is it an easy install and what are some good manufacturer options? thanks

JC Whitney sells rearview mirrors with compass and thermometer. I'm not sure if it is the Donnelly brand, but you can have a look for yourself:

I used these guys and am very happy with their product.
http://www.mitocorp.com/nvsmirro.htm
They have 3 mirrors to choose from.
1. Just dimming,
2. Dimming + temperature + compass
3. Dimming + temperature + compass + homelink.
Only thing I had to do was replace the green LED to orange to match the dash lighting.

If anyone is interested:
I have been in contact with someone selling Gentex auto dim/temp/compass mirrors on Ebay. He is selling them for $155 including shipping. These are the same brand used in Toyotas.
Here is an ended auction of the item:

Guys,
If you don't want the auto dimming/compass stuff, I bought a Broadway Convex 230mm mirror. Its great b/c you really get to see the blind spots near the rear MUCH better.
I bought mine from an ebay seller for around $18 shipped.

Thanks for the info Bob.
I'm looking forward to the temp on the mirror....but I'm in AZ so maybe I shouldn't. I might not want to be reminded how damn hot it is. I hope the display has 3 digits...

anyone with pics of the new mirrors? also, do you have to run wiring for temp and such or is all the stuff in the mirror, like plug and play???

If you scroll up you will see links to pics of the mirrors. Yes...you have to run wires under the front of headliner and down your "A" pillar to connect wires and sensors.
