Just curious, but wth do you drain out the old fluid?

I made the mistake of looking in the clutch fluid reservoir this morning, since it looked a little low. Aside from actually being a little low (just under the 'min' mark), the fluid was BLACK. Given that new DOT3 fluid has a rather pleasing translucent, light shade of brown, I think it's prolly time to flush that sucker out.... Anyone know where the DOT3 floweth from?

 

There is a bleed nipple on the slave cylinder. Get as much out of the master with a syringe first and then fill the master with clean fluid and bleed just like brakes. Open bleed valve, push clutch pedal down, close bleed valve while holding pedal down, then release pedal. Repeat until clean fluid comes out of bleed valve. Be careful not to let master get empty. It is also a good idea to put a piece of hose on the bleed valve to direct the fluid into a container.
As you can probably figure out this is a lot easier with 2 people.

 

I also have a speed bleeder that I use on the bikes, basically it connects to the bleeder nipple and sucks the fluid out. Makes the task a ton easier, probably would here too. Still helps to have 2 people though to make sure the reservior never empties, since that's bad.

Yeah I did this recently too. Just hook up the speed bleeder to the slave nipple and open the valve while keeping the reservoir full.

As was mentioned, suck the crap out of the res first.
