95.5 rear leaf spring replacement?

I busted both my rear leafs. Not sure exactly when but they fell out and looking at them closely it looks like quite a while back. I heard rumor that you could swap out older chevy springs with the 95 tacomas. Is there any truth to this? Any good suggestions for finding good replacements? I have also heard that stock springs from Toyota really arent too good. Thanks for any help.

really depends on what you want to throw at it and what you intend to do with the truck. there are the alcan, ome which use deavers, or junk yard.

if you go to the junk yard and take a tape measure you can measure the distance between mounts and the width of the spring and compare them with taco specs. some thing within .75" 3/4" is acceptable as long as you reuse the shackle.

or order them from alcan custom for rating, wheelers for stock replacement.
