Hi,

Would a 94 Toyota 4Runner Jack and it's assembly/tools be compatible on a 96 4runner. My 96 4runner that I "inherited" does not have a jack or any tools that come with for lowering the spare tire. Would a 94 4runner jack and the assembly tools that come with it work on a 96 4runner? I found one online for a good price and did not want to order it if the parts for lowering the tire weren't compatible.

If you live any place but the south west USA it is more then likely not going to come down when you need it.

That is why there are no tools the last owner knew this so did not even carry them.You did check in the compartments ??

I don`t know if the older tools work as mine all got lowered with a grinder.

A 24" long 3/8" drive extension plus something to turn it with works fine (if you keep the parts lubed--I live in salt-happy NJ and mine works great.)

And do check under the rear pax seat, many a new owner has not.

Hey, thought I was the only one using my 3/8 extension to lower the spare How come all the jacks and tools from these rigs disappear? I cant seem to find them in wrecking yards either.
