The Toyota shop manuals seem to be the most complete to me. Unfortunately, they're expensive. The 1997 4Runner one is $130 or so. I bought my Paseo version back in 1998 for $50, now it's $80.

Hey CLin:

I bought a cd-rom version of the manuals from a person off eBay. I haven't rec'd it yet, but it includes both shop manuals including the electrical. If its good quality, I'll let you know who and how much.

The Bentley repair manual is as good as the Toyota factory one. It's about $50.00

Does anybody out there have a shop manual for a '90 4Runner?
Maybe you'ld be willing to scan a few pages and E-mail em?
To buy one from the dealer is around 200$CAN. far too rich for me, I need that money for mods.

I have a '91 electrical shop manual.
What do you need?

See some of my scans here.

I have a Chiltons manual, but I don't really like it. I don't use it much and don't really like it though. I would not get it again. :fireman:

If you don't like the Chiltons, don't pick up a Haynes,,,They really suck, I've got one and it doesn't say much about any of the EFI systems, and the vacuum diags don't match my Runner

Thanks Corey, I'll check your links and let ya know if there is anthing else I may need.

Thanks All..............

Thanks, I won't. Nothing matches mine either and there is more about the trucks and Landcruisers than the 4Runner it sucks. Oh well, I guess I learned the hard way. :fireman:

Information being left out is the reason I stopped using the Chilton and Hayes manuals and went to the factory shop versions. Unfortunately, Toyota has priced them beyond reason. I'm going to give Bentley a try this time around.

Hey Bob,

When u get it please let me know what u think. I was really thinking about buying one but was not sure the quality of the manual. I wanted some sample pages but the seller never replied to my email.

Thanks

Best manuals are Toyota Factory Service Manuals by far. No one discounts these, only on EBay can you find them for less.
