What mpg can I expect from 4:88's and 315's on my 02 4Runner with v6 auto?

Depends on a ton of stuff. Tire pressue, driving habits, driving conditions, engine tune, tire tread.

FWIW...I average somewhere between 17 and 19 mpg. I live at 8500' elevation and am not a lead foot when I drive.

I fail to see how that is possible, but ok. And for the record I will be running the 315's as offroad tires but hell if the MPG's don't change much perhaps they will be fulltime drive tires. I'm looking at Cooper STT 34.47", or BFG KM2 34.8". I'm armored don't drive like an ass ;ive just above see level and...........I dunno.

I monitor my MPG's on every tank. I do 50/50 highway driving. I'm cruising on the highway at 2300 RPM's, going ~70. Taller gears will more efficient on the highway and worse on the city driving. I think it still equalizes out in the end. If I were going to say my average MPG, I would say 18 to be more specific.

Are you guys mechanically correcting your speedo's or are you doing the buddy method, pacing a friend in a stocker?

He man as long as your using the gps I'm not questioning it. I've been wron before and can admit defeat. I get 16-17 in FL with 295 nittos at 45psi. Go figure.
