i think the 3rd gen runners with 16" wheel option & automatic tranny (ie: limiteds) came with 4.30's. try your local wrecker. not sure who offers em new though.

double, it think that is true for limited but most SR5 with 16" wheels (typically without locker) are 4.10, like my 2000.

My '98 SR5 Auto has an E-locker with 4.30's. It came with the "Sport Package" from what I see on the window sticker, along with bigger brakes and 16" wheels. So the possibility does exist, but it's hard to say how rare this combination is.

There are a number of pages where you can find out your gear ratio with some of the info from the sticker in the drivers side door jam

here's a link:

Yeah, I've heard only 4Runners that came w/ factory e-lockers had the 4.30 gears. All others 4Runners came w/ 4.10s I believe.

i think most auto'd n oem big tire'd toys came with the lower gears...locked or not. some 2nd gen runners came with 4.56 & 4.88's...lucky bastids. anyways..its always best to cross reference your axle code with any of the numerous gear charts online...

I am pretty sure that any yotas that came with the 31" tire option and auto trans(or metric equivilent) from the factory have 4.30's. My 96 t100 came with 31" tires and it has an auto trans.

I wish my '02 4WD auto came w/ 4.30s. Mine has the 4.10s instead.

I know that the 4cylinder, 1998-2000 body styled TRD tacomas with the stick came with 4.30's.

So maybe find 4cylinder TRD in the junkyard or see how much the dealer will bend you over for a factory set.

You should have 4.10's. Check again.

http://www.sonoransteel.com/Toyota_axle_codes.html

4.10's match up to more stuff, 4.30's are harder to work with. If you can't find 4.30's you could always, I know epensive, regear the front and rear to 4.56.

My truck came with 4.56 front and rear. 2.7, big tires and e-locker.
