Question 3rd Gen Suspension Lift????

I've got a 2000 Limited, that I would like to raise a couple of inches. Can someone tell me how they've lifted their 3rd gen without changing tire size? I'm looking to raise the truck overall about an inch or 2 higher than stock. Thanks, John

You could go with a 2" body lift if you wish. Take a look at that link. It'll answer your question.

OME springs and/or cornfed spacers.
Both combined will give you between 2-2.5"
I would go past 3" on the front. Just FYI. It'll stress the CV.

John:

I have a 2000 SR5 with a Daystar 2 1/2" suspension lift. Stay away from body lifts. I was also able to fit 285s once lifted which gave it another inch lift. I had to trim the inside of the front fender flare. Check out my pics to see how it looks.

Well first thing is to find out what you are going to be using your rig for...if it is just an urban assault vehicle it will be fine just using spacers. If you are planning on doing some pretty decent wheeling, I would concider using Sway-A-Way RaceRunners up front with Downey Coils and Bilsteins in the back. That is just my opinion.

Regards,

Mike
