Question 3rd gen grills

Hey guys, does anybody know if all 3rd generation grills are interchangeable with each other without modifications?

Say for instance ... can you stick a 96 grill into an 01, 02 grill in a 97, etc, etc. ....

Thanks for your input!

As far as I know, yes you can swap. What you planning to do?

Oh Boy I never thought about that. Thanks for asking Beowulf. I have always loved the 99-02 grill, now that I have some people that might think these things are interchagable, I might just try to find me one.

I know C2damuthafugginLO had a stock grille for sale. I don't know what year Runner he has though...I think it was chrome, not the grey one.

I was just checking for a buddy of mine who has a dented chrome one but likes the monochromatic look of the Sports Edition, he found one at a junkyard and just wanted to make sure it would fit before hand (its kind of a long drive, so it would have sucked to drive all the way down to the Mexican border and find out it wouldn't fit).

Thanks everyone for your input!!!

Oh man I am switching as soon as I can find the cash to do it. I have always drooled over the 99-01 grills and now i find that I can have one, or maybe a monochromatic one, oh the possibilities. Thanks guys.

'99 & '00 are the same. They changed them in appearance alittle for '01 & '02. They still interchange.
