In each of the clips that holds the grill in place is a small tab. You should be able to slip one of the ends of your fingers in from the side. I beleive the center post is from the front and all you need to do is lift that tab up so that it aligns with the slot in the post It usually will make a slight 'pop' sound and the grill will move a bit forward if you pull gently on it. Do that to all the post/standoffs. I think there are like 7 of them? If you do happen to break one off, the others will hold the grill in place. I picked up an all black grill off a 2000 limited that was missing like3 clips but I was still able to pop it on and it stayed just fine. Try a search on Grill Removal and you should get several hits. Not hard once you figure out what you need to do, I can get mine off in under 5 minutes

The little suckers are poorly designed and don't hold up well to heat and time, in my experience.

You can purchase them on Amazon.

Speaking from experience, after you get the grill out, pull those little clips off the vehicle and clip them onto the grill before you snap it back in...beats the heck out of leaving the clips on the vehicle and then trying to line them all up perfectly. Seems so obvious AFTER you spend a few frustrating minutes trying to line that bugger up!

Does anyone have pics of the BACK of a pre 99' grill? I've been thinking of doing the Satoshi mod but wanted to get a pre 99 grill to do the mod on so I can swap grilles out if/when I bust one. Basically I wanna know if the 96-98 grill will fit an 02?
