3rd gen 4runner fuel tank?
I know that the 2001-2002 tanks have more evap stuff on top.
I'm not concerned with that. I'm wondering if the shape of the bottom of all the 3rd gens are the same? (are the skid plates all the same?)

the 2001-2002 tank skid plate has a different part number from that of the 1996-2000 model. However, the 2001-2002 tank skid plate will fit into that of a 1996-2000 tank. If you buy a 1996-2000 brand new skid plate from the dealer, the dealer will give you the 2001-2002 skid plate as it is a part substitution to the 1996-2000 model
