3rd gen 2 door 4Runner

I was in Winter Park Co. last week and saw a 3rd gen TWO door 4Runner. It looked about the same length, maybe a little shorter. I didn't know that they made a 3rd gen two door. (3 door if you count the hatch)

Sorry no picture.

Your sure about this? Last gen that had 2 doors was the 2nd gen.

might have been a 2nd gen, or some kind of custom job on a 3rd gen. what did it look like where the doors shouldve been?

That's a 2nd Gen (1990-1995).

3rd gen's (no matter how many doors) have clamshell rear lift gate.

2nd gens (no matter how many doors) have a fold down tail gate.

thats about the easyest way to tell them apart. IMO

I'm positive it was a 3rd gen! Clamshell hatch. Stock 2 door! The sides had standard windows in the doors, a trianglular window just behind the door (wide on top, straight down on front, slanted to the rear. The next window followed the same, just in reverse. Truss web like. Like to old 2 door pathfinder (sorry about the use of the "P" word) It had to be stock. No one goes to this much custom work and keep stock wheels.

You are describing the lines of a second gen 2 door to a "T".

I belive your eyes decived you on the rear liftgate.

Sorry, but OEM 3rd gen 4Runners did NOT have 2 doors. Might be something custom, but then it is no longer a "gen".

And without a picture...
