35s on 1.5" lift
In case you're wondering what it looks like in front -

just the 1.5" body lift keepin that body up now.
Took out the bling coilovers, put in some stock 99 springs

no it doesn't!
rather, it kinda sucks.
i took the donahoes out cause it's time for them to be rebuilt. so while they're out, the stock stuff is in. tire rubbage is once again an issue. the bumper/winch add to the current rakedness of my 4runner.
but um yeah, if you stay confined to the streets and don't mind some rubbing, i guess 315/75/16s are an option with 1.5" lift and a whole lotta trimming.

hey those coilovers look very familliar..............hehe
Actually one of Charle's shocks started to leak, since Donahoes have a lifetime warranty, I convinced him to take them both off and get them serviced. In the meantime he's got my stock stuff in it's place........

yeah, i always had the notion of coilovers rebuilding in the back of my head, but didn't give it a second thought till bruce noticed the leak. it's only $40, so that's nice to make them like new.
hooray for bruce having the stock stuff available to borrow. i had my old front shocks available, but sold the springs long ago.
i had never worked the front suspension as far as coilovers before till today, pretty easy after all. when i put the hoes back in, i gotta take care of some UCA bushings, but that's not too bad either, just takes some time.

i got nervous when i saw who'd last posted in a thread about donahoes....
thats hilarious that the 35's actually fit at all... i would never have expected that. i wouldve thought theyd be sitting on the fender flares.
who's rebuilding the CO's and how long does it take?

donahoe racing will be rebuilding the coilovers, should take a few days. about $40, unless the stuck set screw proves a bigger problem than i realize, could be a bit more.
the trimming has pretty much been done with a trusty bfh and angle grinder. and that's pretty much proven adequate so far. i've wheeled it a bunch and the tires only rub slightly. one of these days with some help i'll cut the firewall and reweld it so there's zero rubbing, but till then i can get by alright. (i really ought to do that sort of trimming before i wheel it on, say, sand dunes)

got the hoes back on thursday, put them in this morning.
they fixed the leak, but they didn't unstuck one of the set screws, that's kinda lame. it's nice to be level again.
