Would a '99 3.4L airbox assembly work on a '97 3.4L engine or are there any differences?

im pretty certain that the MAFs are different from 96-98 as compared to the 99s and above

What I got is an airbox assembly without the MAF sensor from a '99Runner but I need to use it on a '97 Tacoma motor.

So, do you think that an AFM from a '97 3.4L Tacoma would work on a '99 4Runner airbox?

I need to know whether this would work since I am in the process of doing an engine swap from a 3.0 to a 3.4.
