on what years did they start coming out with leather and cruisecontrol on 2nd generation i also found a nice 2 door 4runner i like that style i will prolly buy it its a 4cy auto whoo hoo

If you found a two door 2nd Gen them are rare I would snatch it up if it's in good shape. I am not sure what years Leather became available. I am going to go out on a limb and say 91-92 ish. I know for sure you can get it on a 94.

Cruise control was available on all second generation 4runners, but it became standard in either 92 or 93. I believe the Leather option came out in 92.

The 2-door 4Runners are extremely rare. I actually tried to get one new in 91, but I could not find one near the Wash. DC area. I could get one, but it was going to cost me an extra $1,000 for shipping! If it's in good condition, I'd pick it up.

 

Sorry to nit pick, but the 'runner in the link has a V6 emblem on the grill, also $8900 is more than I recently paid for my 95.

My 90 is a 2 door. They are great!! I love it!! I have only seen a few around.

 

4cy auto wont be very fun to drive around in that heavy 4Runner. Check with the seller, the emblem says its a V6, and most 2nd gens are.

But......It also doesn't say 4x4!! Looking at the front center caps, it doesn't look like it has the ADD hubs. Was ADD available in '90. My '91 has it.

What were you going to do with a 2WD Auto??!!??

To answer your question, a '90 4runner does have cruise control at least as an option. Mine does and it's a '90. I'm not sure about the leather option though. Maybe you could get some Wet Oakley (sp?) seat covers instead. Would be cool.

Memphis4X4--ADD was available in '90. At least I think so. Even though my 4runner is 2wd, it has the ADD caps on the front. Go figure So, unless the former owners stuck them on from a junk yard, I would say ADD was available in '90.

I saw a really nice 2nd gen 4runner the other day. The dealer was asking $6900 for it. It was a '94 with 144,000 miles on it. Had a new exhaust and I think it had reverse indiglo gauges. Had every option except a sunroof. If I had the moolah, I probably would try to talk him down and get it. Very clean.
