what is a good way to fit 33X12.50 tires. Will the 2 inch downey lift springs and a 1inch body lift work. Minor rubbing isnt a cocern. Also what problems will I run into putting these mods on an automatic. Basically what do i need to make this work and be as cheep as possible?

 

All i did was a four inch lift and have 35's down unduh. go with a 2 inch lift with your 33's my 4 incher still leaves room for my 35, no rubbin.

 

what about the 2 inch spings that take away the factory rear sag? Are they enough lift to clear the tires that I want?

 

you could probably squeeze some 33s with justt he downey coils and slight t bar crank and a 1inch body lift but, i think its safe to say you will rub a bit.

bbb- i have a 4inch with 33s, yet , i rub occasionally when offroad. i find it hard to beleive with 35s you never rub

Here's the recipe for running 33" tires on a truck, and you can just sub the Downey rear coils with the additional 1.5" spacer puck to raise the rear up a tad more.

You will have to trim the front fender well linings a bit, and crank the T bars.
Make sure you have manual hubs if you crank.

Personaly since you want to run 33s, I would get the extra kit by Downey to give you the 1.5" on top of the 2" you will get alone from the Downey HD coils.

Notice the 1.5" spacer puck in addition to the Downey HD coils.
He's running a 2" body lift, but you have to do a little fabbing with that.
1" bod lift will be easier, and no extending of brackets, shifter, or steering linkage is required for the 1" one.

I am running non aggressive tread TXRs. I will get some pics for you to show yuh there aint no rubbin. I can get quite the twist outta my Runner. I will try to use the concrete wall at work tonight being all of our local trails are closed right now. I will show yuh yet!

Plenty of info if you search for Downey on the forum here, but roughly $160 for the coils, and you'd have to go to 4Crawlers homepage which is listed in the first link I gave above to get a price quote from him on the body lifts.
His body lifts are the best out there.

I don't know the price on the spacer pucks.
It also comes with the panhard drop bracket, and longer rear swaybar endlinks.

Used Aisin manual hubs are what most of us get, as they are factory Toyota on rigs that came with them.
