Question 2nd gen hood?

Hey all-

I'm looking for a 2nd gen hood that has some cowl to it or something different (scoop). Since I bought and fixed my runner I've had a used hood off a different color runner that had burned.
Anyway, I've come into some free paint/bodywork and my dad says he'll buy the hood so: help, suggestions, ideas?
I saw this:

but I don't think i'll have enough for the body piece and new headlights/sidemarkers.

Thank you all for your help so far-

Have you considered trying to get a hold of the 3rd gen hoods with hoodscoops? Since your dad is already going to do the body work, he would be able to fit the 3rd hood on to your truck.

I can't imagine that you can take a 3rd gen hood and put in on a 2nd Gen and have ANYTHING line up. It would take a boat load of labor to make it work IMO. I like the idea of getting a scoop and grafting it on though.

This is the hoodscoop I'll be putting on mine this next year.

my bro once wanted to put a scoop on his Jetta and picked up a scoop from what i think was a nissan/datsun old Zcar, he got it for ten bucks at the junkyard, they are really good looking, and i almost put it on my 2nd gen when i had it repainted but decided not too. the shape of it really resemvbles and compliments the 2nd gen body styling! i think ts probably the best option for hat you are trying to do, sorry i cant post a pic or anything but i would suggest strolling through a junkyard or asking them what they can offer, the one i am talking about even had little mounting studs so it woulda been easy to drill four holes and mount it right up.

good luck

I think rev4Runner bought the 3rd gen hood w/ hoodscoop, cut out the hood scoop and put it on the 2nd gen hood. I'm pretty sure its what he did, I've read some Taco owners have done that.

Looks like the whole front end is from a Toyota Tundra. I didn't realize the front end on the 4runner is all one piece.

fiberglass links

Here goes:

This one is Hannemann. They make the fiberglass and there site is good but the next one is a truck shop that shows better some of the Hannemann products.
Hannemann:

SD Truck Shop:

The one I posted earlier is a one-piece tacoma conversion for 90-94 p/u 4R (it looks the same as the tundra conversion) on a 2nd gen 4runner.

EDIT: Go to the bottom of the hannemann page and click for more toyota glass. The conversion kit is on the second page.
