My 90 has DRL's as mandated in here in the great white north. The problem is that the rear taillights come on as well. There must be something that isn't working properly. Any guesses.

nothing wrong, my 93 does the same thing. my 91 corolla and 93 mr2 were the same. i guess the omnipotent members of our legislative assembly must think that we need to be seen front and rear. therein lies the problem, they think. enough said.

hey thanks for the reassurance. Tell me about Gov't thinking. I live in the Capital. On another tangent, what did you do to mod the air box on yours?

so far, just drilled it out. the isr mod is coming next. i may have to wait till the spring though, i may have to replace inner/outer right side cv boots in the next short while. ive noticed a tear in the outer and some noise on turns. gotta get my brother in laws tr6 out of my garage so i can get my rig in and do the swap.

I drilled a bunch of holes in the headlight bezel as that is where the air box gets it's air from. Didn't notice anything spectacular though. I just had the cv's replaced as well. Cambodian tire specials. I worked there at the time and got them done for the price of parts.

check out the search feature for air box mod and you should find everything you need. i cant remember whose post i read on it, i removed the shroud behind the left headlight and the short tube feeding into the round air box. disconnect the air box, undo the three screws/bolts and drill out 1/4" holes between the ribs on the inside of the box. clean up all the little shavings, you dont want them getting into the engine! reinstall the filter and air box but not the feeder tube or the shroud. remember to stay away from deep water! you dont want to suck any in through the intake and hydro lock your engine!
