'00-'04 tail lights on a '96 Taco?

Hi all,

Will the tail lights (housing and lens) off the '00-'04 Tacoma work on my '96 Taco? Are they a direct drop-in, or do you have to modify them to get them fit? Thanks!

'00 is the same lens/housing is the same as your '96. However, '01+ will work on your truck.

'01 and up will work, but may need to rewire to make everything work.

You shouldn't even need to rewire them, the plugs haven't changed IIRC.

Thanks for the info, guys!

I'm going to stop by my local Stealership on Monday to check with the Parts Department. I'll check to see if the connectors are the same as the ones on my twuck, then I'm off to look for the parts online.

Anyone know who would have the best prices on OEM tail lights? It's probably E-Prey, right?
