I used the search and I didn't find what I was looking for. I have a set of Deuler AT Revos (285/75 16) and I am looking for a spot to put my spare. It won't fit under the back and the rear tire carrier is something that I would like to stear clear of. I was just wondering what others had and how it worked out. Thanks for the help.

 

I just put mine in the cargo area and strap it down along with my tools and the Hi-Lift jack. About the only other option is on the roof.

 

Ditto what Brian said. I strapped mine down with cargo straps hooked to the cargo loops.

 

Without a hitch it fits under in the stock position, that's where mine is.

 

around town i strap it to the roof rack, when i go wheeling it gets tied down in the cargo area. it seems to have taken a residence in the cargo area of the runner for the 3 weeks or so. only downside is how much room it takes up.

I bought a used 285 recently and fit in the stock location(that's with a trailer hitch, too). I think you have to get a tire w/ more tread wear to get it to fit.

 

I used to have it strapped to the top of the cargo box I built for the back. What would be a sweet setup if I ever get around to it is to build the box so that the spare fits inside, you'd still have a flat surface on top for stashing other gear.

 

im gonna build somethin like that. so it sits ove the spare tire, the have a slide out bench and legs so you can fold down the back seats and still hav a flat surface for carrying big things or sleeping.
