Hello,

A friend of mine bought a set of Aisins in the States like I did to install in his 94 2nd Gen 4Runner.

He is not able to put the Aisin over the CV because the CV is a bit bigger than the Aisin splined socket...

He has counted the splines in the CV and he has 27 but the Aisin has 26 socketted splines... Also the CV measures 28mm and the Aisin socket does 26mm.

What can be happening? SA Aisins have 30 splines ok? He ordered the Aisins remarking that they were for a 94 IFS 4Runner...

What do you thing is happening?

I bought a set of aisin hubs on EBAY for a landcruiser (same as solid axle). Turned out to be wrong. Doesn't fit a solid axle or an IFS Wrong splines and diameter for either one.

 

But those Aisins are not for a SA... They have ¿26? splines... What are those for?

suzuki samuri and isuzu aisin hubs look the same as a toyota lockout but there is slite differences. post a picture and i mite be able to figure it out for you.

Not so much... They've tried to install them following the how-to I did when installed mine.

My friend having problems is far from me, if not I'd try to install them for him...

My friend says his CV's have 27 splines and the Aisin has 26. In the pic the Aisin hole looks smaller an he has measured and it is! What is that?

the gray ones look like the suzuki samuri locking hubs.

the picture that you showed the back of them the shiny one looks like a ifs toyota locking hub. the other one is defintile not.

In the last pic the left one is the Aisin and the right one is the ADD hub.

So those Aisins are from a Samurai?

I recommended my friends buying them to you but...
