22re wont start help..

I have a 93 pickup with the 22re engine and it wont start.

I use to drive it everyday and every morning I would start it, it would start but be kind of hesitant. I would always give it gas to help it start up. Then I didnt drive it for a couple days and went to start it and it had alot more trouble starting. Then I didnt drive it for a week and tried starting it and it wont start at all. It cranks over but thats about it.

I checked the coil by pulling the plug alittle out of the coil and I have spark.

I pulled the number 1 piston plug out and it had spark.

I cracked the fuel line that connects to the intake manifold and cranked the truck over and fuel went everywhere. So the fuel pumps good.

What seems to be my problem? What should I do now?

if it sat, its possible your battery went dead, or partially dead

I just check the coil with a ohm meter and it read .6 ohms. The specs say it should be within .35-.55 ohms. Is this a problem with what mine reads?

Timing is also dead on, I checked that.

I got it to start but still have problems....

I took all the plugs out and purged the cylinders and dried everything spark plugs etc. It then started up after doing this.

New problem is I took it for a 5min test drive and the idle fluctuated alot when I pushed in the clutch (not everytime though). Then I came to a rolling stop with the clutch in and it completely died off of about 1400rpm. I started it, then it did it again a couple minutes later when I pushed the clutch in the same way it did before.

I also noticed if I was coasting and touched the gas slightly on and off I would here a popping noise coming from the glove box area. Sounded like a relay was engaging and disengaging.

Whats going on with this pile?
