Post 22R Weber adjustment

I recently had a knocking sound from my engine, so off came the oil pan and I discovered that the connecting rod bearing on the number one cylinder was ground down to almost nothing. The rest of the rod bearings were fine. Is it possible that this problem could occur due to an improperly adjusted carb? I have a weber 38/38 and the engine was rebuilt only about a year ago. It also has a TRD stage 2 cam and LCE header. Any ideas on preventing this problem from occuring again?
