2007 FJ wheels on a 3rd Gen Runner?

Did some searching and did not find an answer. Found a good deal on 2007 16" FJ wheels with 265 75 tires. but seller does not know offset (and neither do I). Will they fit? I know the tires will, but what about the wheels? This 99 runner is new to me, and come to think of it, I dont even know what the offset of the stock runner wheels are. Thanks.

Yup, they'll fit. There is another member on here with the TRD FJ's in Gunmetal on his 3rd gen. Let me know if you don't buy them.

^ x2. They'll fit.

Check out this link for a couple pictures of them mounted on a 3rd Gen (Oh and the black 4Runner actually has 17" wheels):

May I ask what kind of 'deal' you found on them?

Thanks for the links, those are the wheels I am looking at (but in 16"). A bit more research has found that the FJ wheels are 7.5 as opposed to the stock runner at 7". I am a bit worried that with the extra width I may get some rubbing on the A arm. Found an older post by Rock Slide talking about that. I am still talking to the seller, its a package deal 5 gunmetal FJ TRD wheels with BFG ATs (15,000mi) He wants 900$. Not a great deal, but I need new rubber for winter and the wheels look good. I may buy em and if I get rubbing move the tires to my stock wheels. Thanks again, and anyone with more ideas/thoughts feel free to chime in.

Jake's 4Runner, (the picture I posted in that same link) has the 16" wheels. The other guy's black 4Runner has the 17" ones.

And yes, you are correct - the FJ wheels are 7.5" wide. But someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that extra .5" on the FJ wheel is actually going to help you, not hurt you (Less rubbing if any that is). One reason so many guys opt for the LC wheels (or Ivan Stewarts in my case), is b/c they are both 16x8 in size. This extra 1" of width allows someone to run a 285/75 without any rubbing on the Upper A's. So IMO, you will have a small amt of rubbing if any at all. Let us know the tire size you're looking at and that may help us determine the amt of rubbing.

If I remember correctly, Jake told me he's got shaved Upper A's. I can't recall if he had to do that b/c of the rim size and tire combo, or if it was more a precautionary mod.

Agreed, $900 aint the greatest deal, but I've seen quite a few sets of the gunmetal FJ wheels going for $700-$800...and that's w/o tires! They seem to be real hard to come by at the moment. I've spoken to a few dealers around the country, and they can only seem to get the silver ones and not the gunmetal ones. Unless you can find them online for sale, you almost have to find a dealer that has a takeoff set.

Keep us updated on your progress.

Personally, I don't think the TRD FJ's look that great on a 4Runner. The FJ80's look much better to me.

But that $900 is not a bad price. I've seen regular FJ wheels go for $600`$700 with the stock Duncrap tires.
