I have a 2003 Tacoma Prerunner with the 3.4L V6 engine. I was wondering what I should do about the box pictured with the large black tube coming out of it. Is it a silencer box that should be removed? I know I need to remove the J pipe and the box with the FPR tube coming out of it but I havent seen this other box in any guide. Please tell me if I am correct with everything I have labelled. Thanks.

 

I didn't remove the box in the 3rd pic.
I'll see if I can find a link for the tubing changes but they're pretty simple.

I have a write up in the tech section, but the front box may be of a different size. The j-pipe should be the same.

The concept is basically the same. I have to run, but I can help more tomorrow if no one else chimes in.
