2000 limited 4runner AC controls Pulsing?

Well i had this problem once before but a little differnt.

The lights on my 2000 limited 4runner's AC controls (the 3 bright green ones that are in the buttons, not the backlight) will "puls". They get dim, bright, dim, bright you get the idea.

Last time it did it when i would hit the brakes. Hit the brakes it got dim, let off got bright. then it fixed it's self until today.

Today it was doing it all the time dim, bright, dim, bright as i drove but it would only do it in Drive. Any other gear and they worked fine.

Got me bumfuzzeled, any ideas?

Well, you are not getting enough Volts/Amps to the circuit. Crap. I had it, but, now I forgot what I was going to say. I don't know what the problem would be, but, it might be the alternator?! Who knows. Maybe someone else will know.

I'm subscribed. I have the same problem in my 2000 Limited, but only when I have my turn signals engaged. May be a wiring harness problem. Check this thread I started about the same problem.

Might be but i doubt it. i am going to get a high-powered one shortly anyways so that will fix it if it is the case. What is strange is it only does it every now-and-then. And then it works fine for while then it messes up but differnt both times.

It's not pulsing along with the beat of the radio is it? I had this happen one time on my Jeep. The amp was drawing alot of power and when it would hit alot of bass of get loud, it would pulse the radio lights.

I agree could be the alternator...

Nope, i have a oddeesy battery that has MORE than enough power to go around.

Like i said, first time it did it when i would step on the brake now it does it when in drive.
