Dash Lights Blinking W/ Turn Signals?

Just recently I discovered that my thermostat display and my speedometer flash, synchronized with my turn signals. The displays do not completely light up and turn off when the blinkers are engaged, but it is noticeable that they are blinking as well.

Anyone else had this issue?

Do you happen to know how your battery is doing?

Sometimes a sign of it going out... sometimes....

My rig is way older, and I always get a little blinker fluctuation, so it might just be normal that you hadn't noticed before.

Now that you have though... it's going to drive you crazy.

Elvota, the battery is pretty new so I don't suppose that is the cause of it. You could be right, I just may not have noticed it before.

Toy-SkiTzo, I am going to check into the wiring harnesses a little later. Like I had said before, I guess mine was not as involved as yours. Only my thermostat & steering column gauges flicker, not everything. Haha! I imagine there was quite a light show going on in your rig whenever you decided to turn!

Just stop using your signals... you are in a 4Runner... most will get out of your way.

lol! True, I usually don't but Atlanta sometimes proves to be a pretty defensive place to drive!
