1st gen rear window

for a while now my rear window has been screwed; as in it doesnt work. Ive tested or replaced everything from the motor to the crontrol in the panel behind the drivers seat to the switch but still cant get it working. My buddy just bought an 86 and his is doing the exact same thing. is there some hidden fuse, or what? any help would be awesome!

Don't forget the relay in the fuse box in the drivers kicker panel. Mine was jacked.
ALso the switches in the center could be a problem. Make sure the rear window lock button is open.

Work backwards, test the motor alone to see if it is good. Something was wrong in my controller and I had an electronics shop fix it. Pretty pricey. That little relay in the fuse box is kinda pricey too. might want to hit the salvage yards....
