Watching this sure has helped my 4 hour of ISS (In School Suspension) go by quite quickly.

I'm off to QT for a Snack/Lunch. The steel to finish the hanger was just delivered and the 3/16 plate for each side of the front frame rails.

Sure I could do this every month, but no many folks can afford to paysome one to do everything. In all honesty I did make the customer clean and re-build the axle.

Come on in and we'll talk about it.

I really don't think I can take out of state trucks to swap, as there are new gears involved and a hoard of parts which I need to check over and make sure you have everything and it's all the right stuff.

This is really something people should really have done locally.

Yeah locally, if only there was a Sonoran Steel, in every major city. :pat:

That's it for today, they Hanger is built and installed.

Not just a hanger, but dual 3/4" shackle points, a 2" front reciver and integrates into the frame rails as a factory installed piece, it does not just weld to the bottom, it inserts into the center of the frame.

Why all this stuff? Most of it is "really" placed on the hanger for radiator protection, instead of some plane jane filler plate, I made the protective pieces useful.

I'll post some pics of the hanger over the weekend.

Sat & Sun I have off and Monday I have to get all the "other" work that has come in done. So no SAS work until Tuesday. Then on Tusday the Webcam will be back on and we build the frame boxes for the rear main eyes and modify, place and weld on the D-C YJ brackets. That is real critical to get a nice true streight setup.

I'll miss the Mighty Cheesburger for that one as he was a massive help.

See you guys on Tuesday.

My bad, I was just checking the camera. It's almost like being there, instead of here where it snowed last night.

I have to take the kid to school and then I'll dig in at 8:30am.

Today it's the rear main eyes. Frame extension, modify and placement of the YJ hanger.

Yes, yet another swap started and completed before the Cheese Waggon rolls, but think of all the BLING!

All done for today, it was a really boring day; I built the rear frame extensions/boxes and welded them in and then placed the main eyes and welded them in. This was tedious and time consuming as everything had to be just lined up perfectly.

Tomorrow, plate the inside and outside of the frame rails, steering box and shock mounts.

Thurs. it goes together. Still won't steer though.

I'll call you tomorrow. The dates I gave you last week look good and have been confirmed with Lisa. I just need to e-mail my boss and confirm my schedule hasn't changed.

The credit card will be smoking this week and I still need to call Tune-up about the tires.

What do Limited Flares have to do with a SAS?

I think Steve said the front axle is moved a few (maybe 4" forward) thus creating the need to massage the front fenders and rework the flares a bit...
