It's it for today, frame is 100% clean, Motor mounts closed back up.

Tomorrow is either plate the frame or front and rear leaf hangers.

I'll decide what I feel like doing first in the morning. Probably spring hangers though. Maybe both.

The Hi-Lift is there just to make me feel butter, it does creep mout out a bit sitting under there.

Well DUH. That too much droop. I would say 20 max, if Toyota's engineers went 15 on the TRD and I would imagine the stock 4Runner shocks go 10 degrees.

IFS does not kill parts, too much droop does. It's always fun to test data on these projects.
Heh, which explains why it was such a pita to get those shocks installed in the first place. Oh well, guess I got the limiting straps for the time being.

Nice pants honky!

We had to teach Steve the pail trick.

Keep hammering down. The Hi-Lift is good piece of mind, it is spooky, especially when the ears are plugged and the eyes are covered.

It must feel quite nice to have just the frame rails there w/o all the IFS stuff crowding up the wheel wells.

Its like starting off on a clean slate!

You just have to setup the steering, leafs, shocks and bolting up the axle, right? (not "JUST", but, yeah...)

So, ah, do you think they have those brackets at the dealer?

Those leathers are cool. One too many weiner roasts and a guy has to step up.

Now it's just re-build it. Which will take time as most of it is custom made. Steering shaft Stubbs pre-made & FJ box on hand.

One day at a time. Placeing the main eyes without the Cheeseburger will be a challege. Hopefully Matt is up to it.

On my SAS the ISP shut us down. I'll try a 1 minute refesh and see how it goes.

I had to re-setup on the shop computer as today I will build and install the front hanger.

Ok, I'll set it to 1 min.

Back at it for today.

One more to go.

I think Im going to setup a webcam of me, in my underwear ,watching Steve work with those big shafts of steel.

Stupid question, but, you're getting paid for this right? You could probably make a pretty penny doing this ... think you could do like 1 straight axle conversion a month and have tons of beer money!
