ok first of all if you go to 4x4wire.com and do the search you will find a phone# of a place down in california that sells them. i think its like $18 shipped. thats what i did

second, in my opinion the factory manual is worthless. if i were you i would just go buy a chiltons or something. but thats just me. its just that i haven't gotten any use out of mine.

Is this the actual service manual from Toyota or a Haynes for Chiltons? Where's that phone number too? I couldn't find it.

hey i just called the number to find out more info. I think the $16 book you were talking about is just the owners manual. you have to ask for the factory service manual the techs use. the lady gave me prices for my '94 4 runner. there are 3 volumes.
-volume 1- engine - $37.95
-volume 2- chassis - $58.95
-volume 3- electrical - $26.95

so yeah actually they're around $120 new. thanks for the phone # though.

I called them too and the lady I talked to gave me the same prices and volumes. They have FSM manuals for automatic tranny, engine, and electrical components. These manuals come in volumes and very expensive. That $16 bucks manual you have is just the owner's manual that you keep in the glove box compartment. Oh well!

Yep, those prices are right. I bought an electrical diagram a long time ago and recently added the eingine and chassis volumes.

Factory OWNERS manuals

I thought you all were talking about the owners manuals that come with your Runner when new. I was going to laugh my a$$ off if you all payed for it. I got mine FREE when I called 1-800-331-4331 and said "hey I lost my owners manual". They sent two of them incase I lost one more of them. I payed nada even for shipping. So theres the number for anyone that lost theirs or in my case never got one being im the third owner.
