Question 1986 Toyota Pickup Track times?

Does anyone know the track times for a stock 1986 Toyota Pickup (22RE)? 0-60, 1/4, etc? Thanks, I'd really appreciate it.

the 0-60 for a stock toyota is slow, the 1/4 mile for a stock toyota is really slow, i hope this helps

I thought I read on this forum along time ago that, some guy timed his 4x4 pick-up with a 22re 0-60 and it got there in like 21 seconds. Don't quote me on this though i could be wrong.

yours is a 2wd, those suckers are quite a bit faster than the 4wd. The v6 2wd trucks hual, back in the day they were one of yota's fastest vehicals.

you guys need to know that a 2wd truck powered by a 20R/22R/22RE engine is actually pretty quick. much lower to the ground, less weight, less wind resistance.

my stock '84 2wd was FAST, and it had 3.08 gears(most 2wds have lower gears) and an 8" diff because it was a 4 speed. it also had the shortest shifter throw in any stock vehicle i've driven. i can imagine if i had added a cam, weber, header and some oversized valves and head work, it would've been a real screamer

Mines a 5 speed, but the shifter doesn't seem that short. I've been thinking about putting in a new cam. Any suggestions?

I bet you could find a 4.10 third for pretty cheap, throw that in there and ill accelerate like no other. But top speed I dunno about! Cam definatly will inprove quickness.I dont know about times but when I put mine in I sure could feel it. Have you done exhaust yet?

Only a Flowmaster Muffler. Next up should be the LCE Headers and maybe a high flow cat.

hey my 22re 4x4 does the 1/4 in 2 weeks 3 days 4 hours 31 min and 51 sec so don't be tellin' people they r slow.
well really my truck aint to slow i can out run some people at red lights.

um guys, we drive toyota trucks....ie can be made ok, but not fast.

Fast is an Evo, skyline, a LS1/LS6 powered Trans am or a Z06, gmc typhoon/cyclone, lightning, SRT10, etc.... Gotta be under 14 seconds on the 1/4 to be fast....

With the system I should do the 1/4 in about 20 sec or so...I get passed by old farts in wheelchairs when I run on the track.

Not exactly. Velocity is a combination of speed and direction. Acceleration is a change in velocity (speed), turning is also a change in velocity (direction), but they are not the same thing.

Search around for TRD cams. They come in diferent setups for different desired results. I know the stage 1 is more to the low end/torque/wheeling application. Don't know much about the others. 22r and 22re can be made to scream, Its all a performance vs reliability vs wallet question. Also, poke around these guys' site for ideas.
