152,000 Miles...for the tech's: Is it time for a Valve adjustment?
My runner is getting up there with age 152K miles, yet has no performance issues. Someone was saying that in our engines the valves may need to be adjusted or checked for adjustment every 60K... can that be right? Correct me if I'm wrong, yet every 60K? Sounds expensive and uneeded. Maybe at 100K or 152K (hehe)... yet every 60K?
99' SR5 3.4L....Are valve adjustments needed and if so at what mileage interval? Typically. how much $$ does it run to have a pro evualate the valve clearances and service as needed? Im thinking I may have it done at 180K when everything's off and then have the the timing belt, outside belts and change the original water pump.
