100K Miles on my !998 4Runner Should I worry?
Hi Guys!. New here, I have 100K miles on my 1998 4Runner, it still runs like new. So any next suggestions on what I should do to keep it for another 100K!
Also does anyone know any GOOD shops that work on 4Runners in the Southern CA area, I need some Bilstein/Springs Installed and general maintenance. It would help if there was a shop that specialized in these trucks
Thanks!

Holy crap you guys do drive alot! My 94 only had 85K on it when I bought it this December and now it's only at 90K! I agree with Btown, keep up on oil changes and routine maintenance and as long as you dont' abuse it it will run for many more miles!

Welcome aboard. I'm pushing 90K on my '99. I got the 100K extended warranty and so far, my main service issues have been with the AC. I change my own oil (Amsoil everywhere) and plugs. Runnin' and looking good. I kept my last car 20 years...the Runner will last longer!

I wouldn't worry, you've still got plenty of life left in your 4Runner. Mine's a '97 with 72k miles and it looks/runs like new too. I think these things will last forever if well taken care of.

man you guys were gonna scare me if you said he had to start worrying. I pretty much just bought a 90' xtra cab 4x4 pu and it has a 130,000 on it. I think i got ripped in the deal but oh well its a toy! My mustang had 30,000 when i bought it back in 99 and it almost has 90,000. Can't wait till I get the truck sat.

Thanks to all guys...I guess I could have kept up with the maintenance a little better. I just kept on taking ti to the dealer for the scehduled maint stuff.I was hoping to get a New 2003 4 Runner when they came out, but after seeing the pictures of it... YUCK!
I definitely agree with the Amsoil thing. I have to try that stuff now. It looks like my 98 is a keeper and I will treat the truck like I do all my toher toys now. That is if I see the 2003 in person and don't like it then.
By the way any recommendations on the SOuthern CA shop thing??

Better hang on to the Classic. My 93 truck has 129000 miles on it . No payments is nice. Just put some new wheels on it and it will look like new. Just ask Mark. His rig looks great with the lift and new wheels.

My '90 Runner has over 260k km./160k+ miles on it, and thats not alot as far as my average (Mind you I have to drive 20 miles just to get into Calgary). Guess we just have to drive further to get anywhere up here in the Great White North.

Thats the trick RC51 - regular prevenitive maintence - I have the unfortunate obsession of fixing problems before they are one...sometimes works sometimes not (my last truck a 84 Nissan 4x4 lasted 18 years) but i did do some stupid mistakes (wrong fluids - screwing with engine when i diden't know what the heck i was doing) so make sure you follow the maintence schedule and double most of it if you take it offroad....
I was reading Gagets page on 15K oil intervals.....(you make a damn good argument for this)
Any opinions?
