'03 Tranny flush?
I was reading, again, the owners manual on my '03 V8. In the transmission section, the wording almost makes you not want to change/flush your tranny oil until the major service schedules of; 30, 60K miles.
The wording states that you should only change/flush the oil when necessary for these big services. I usually flush my tranny oil every 15K miles, regardless of towing or driving conditions.
Is the new 5 speed tranny too delicate to flush the tranny every 15K miles? Is the procedure much more difficult than other transmissions? Being a new Toyota transmission, it is hard to find maintenance data on this tranny.

It's like that for almost all cars, my Nissans recommended the same service intervals except their oil change intervals where 3750 or 7500 maybe now their like Toyota 5k or 7.5k, you could probably look it up I think all makes tend to run the same with the 15, 30, 45, and 60k service but the oil change intervals are getting longer
At 15k they say to change it then at 30k you flush it, I wonder how many people go 60k before they even touch the trans, flushing the trans is nothin complicated they just hook the machine up to the the lines, all transmissions have the same lines don't they.
I take it your already at 15k or close to it if your asking this, where you gonna take it to get flushed and have you looked at your incabin micro filter, suppost to replace it every 15k or something, my Toy dealer charges 60 bucks for them.

There is nothing special about the auto tranny on the 4th gen.
Some of these crazy recommendations are written that way so they can claim less direct operating costs as compared to competitor's vehicle.
You can flush it as often as you want. Flushing it does not do anything to the transmission that it does not do to itself all day long every day except with new fluid. Flush machines use the transmission's own pump to move the fluid in a complete normal manner.
