Lou,

Nice work on the truck and the article!! If/when I end up with a double cab, I hope to outfit it in a similar way.

I hope you don't mind me stealing this pic..

This is an awesome idea! If I went for a camper shell I'd definitely be doing this in a heartbeat!

I love those bumpers too

Sorry - I spaced out and thought you provided the modifications as part of a business. Awesome truck! I've got a silver D-cab with an ARE shell. Your pictures and modifications are quite inspiring.

Your truck is sweet, man! It is more along the lines of my inspiration, because I'm not really into the extreme off-road monster-tire scene. But I am a winter fanatic, snowboard knuckle-dragging snow-bum. My 4-wheel driving is mostly winter stuff, so your approach is just what I like. Your front bumper is my favorite part. Keep up the good work, and send me a front bumper.

One more thing. where did you run your wiring for your camper dome light? that is a modification that I am interested in doing with my topper. I don't like the wimpy C-cell battery one that is included with the topper. It seems like the batteries are always already dead on it anyways.

Hi all, the topper dome light is wired into the tail light wiring, and can only be turned on when the tail lights are on. Don't know if that's my favorite way of doing it, but it prevents accidental on and thus returning from the day's adventure to a dead battery. In other words, the topper dome light has a switch on it you reach up and turn on, but it'll only go on when the tail lights are on. 'best, Lou
