03 mini-mirror mod
ok, I guess sticking something on the inside doesn't really qualify as a mod but I did this because I liked the mirrors on the SR5 so much.
It's great for parallel parking or backing up- you'll never run into a pole or low object! It works great. I would have gotten a larger one but that is the biggest size they had at the time- still works great though.

Yeah I first saw those on Good times' rig. That's a pretty good idea, but what is that you attached them to? Is that the spot that they normally would be? It kind of looks like a speaker.

The factory mirrors go in place of the JBL 10 speaker system. So instead of those speakers, they put mirrors in the hole. You can't have both the JBL and mirrors. That pretty much deletes the mirrors in all Sport and Limited models.
I test drove a SR5 and loved the mirrors so I just put one on. Enough for backing up and not doing the "guessing" how close something is to the back bumper.

Commented to my wife the other day how I really like having the factory mirrors back there -- they really help.
When I read the subject line, I thought you were going to refer to the outside mirrors. I always put a 2" convex mirror on the outside mirror of every vehicle to eliminate blind spots. Best $2 investment I've ever made.

I have a Broadway convex mirror.
It's wider and has a slight curve so I can see a little more through my back windows.
Of course, nothing will replace the good old fashioned turn of the head but after having driven with that wide angle, I can't go back to stock.
Hey BOB!
I got one for ya, it's a type R!
