03 dcab taco sagging ass

Here's the deal I have a cab high cap on my 03 Taco. The cap makes the rear sag not to bad but enough to notice. I had load control airbags but they tore and I was never crazy about that set up anyway. So I need options on leveling the rear. I've spent all day looking for simple air shocks ,not available. aal or shackles are the only other things I can think of .Any suggestions welcome. This is a dd prerunner so I'm not looking for a lift and a comfortable ride is important. Thanks Jacque.

The AALs are stiff - even more then how the truck rides new. Not what you're going to want for a comfortable ride.

On the other hand, I'm pretty impressed with the OMEs I put up front. They ride better than stock.

Oh and yeah, I just remembered the CV drop stuff, sorry!!!
I'll try to take care of that this week and I'll send you a PM or something.

I had trailmaster AAL's on my 94 Ranger. The ride didn't change too drastically. It ended up giving me 2" of lift.

Ah hmmm... yes, I should specify, shouldn't I? heh heh
The Procomp AALs are stiff.

I can sympathize with you. My Tacoma was butt sagging big time before I put in the lift. I hated that a lot

Do you guy's think that adjustable gas shocks would help? I probably know the answer but I'm grasping for ideas.

no...get a 1.5" AAL if they have such a thing....the cap and the shackle would just cause more sag....best option is to get a new set of leafs...custom would be best but I think Wheeler's leafpack might work for your application...give them a buzz

id say look into the rancho or the pro-comp adjustable shocks , b/c AAL will make the rear very stiff and bumpy.

I thought AALs made it worse? At least I think I remember reading that somewhere.
I do remember someone posting that a complete aftermarket leaf set got rid of the axle wrap.

shocks absorb bumps....leafs determine height.....

if you got shock so stiff they overpower the leaf then it will raise the rear but all the adjustable shocks i've seen didnt move the vehicle when setting them from the stiffiest setting to the softiest...
