I just put in an Kenwood KVT-514 single din aftermarket stereo in my 2002 4Runner. I like it because you can't tell its has a screen and it folds out, but the problem is its covers the AC control panel now.

Using the OEM brackets, the receiver goes in the top slot and a pocket goes on the bottom. I tried switching them around, but the screw holes don't match.

Just trying to find out if anyone has this problem as well or if anyone has any advice to get around this?

 

heve the same thing in my '01 with my Alpine IVA-D300 and it doesnt bother me that much i just fold the screen down to change the controles and then it folds itself back up and if like you have the a/c set you can reach the fan spped control from the side

 

If it really is a big issue, make your own screw holes in the brackets. All the threads should be in the head unit or pocket anyways.
