I used something like that on my rear diff that has/had a hole. JB didn't work but some goop like that did the trick...Hell worth a shot, cheaper than a rad.

 

OK, my wiper blades have the same 2 screws as yours, but I still have no way to put the new ones on!! There was no little hardware / bracket kit with the new blades, they are just cheap Anco blades. I tried to take the 2 screws out & put the blades on like the package said, but it no workie!! Damn, why does this have to be so hard! I gotta way to fix this crap though! Nothing a dremel tool can't fix

Now I'm not going to tease you about not being able to change a wiper blade...I'm not going to do it. Really I'm not, just would not be right to tease someone who can rebuild a motor but can't change wiper blades. Does not seem right to tease someone about that. Wiper blades who would have thought...

 

Oooooohhh, don't you worry, I can change a wiper blade! I might have to get mid-evil on it with a grinder & maybe a dab of the JB weld, but I can change it!

 

Just finished this bad boy, It is the plug for the brake line "T" on the passenger side wheel well. I took the original Flare fitting & welded a 3/16" steel rod inside of it & machined it to a 45 deg. point. Should work perfectlly. I love working at a machine shop

 

That's creative good cheep fix now do something about that wiper!!!

Not sure...Mine was installed when I got my truck.

 

It's kinda funny, the tach I am going to put in this 4runner is the same one I had in my 86 4x4 pick-up, I took it out before I sold in in 2001! I can't belive I still have it 9 years later...

I do belive that once I get the brakes bleed that it will be time for me to take the first spin around the block in the 4runner tonight!! Pretty excited about that!! Just hope that jonny law stays clear b/c the registration sticker on this thing expired in 02 .

 

I just wish I still had the front & rear bumpers off of it!

Thanks, the taco is my baby! I have spent the last couple of years slowly throwing tasteful mods at it. I love that truck & it is just a few months from being paid for, which is why I am trying to build this 4runner to wheel in, to preserve the taco.

 

Damn I was so aggervated last night trying to bleed the brakes! I understand that there is probablly a ton of air in them so I bleed them & bleed them & bleed them some more. I bleed them with my vacuum pump, bleed them the old fashion way & FINALLY got a nice stream of brake fluid to the rear wheels. However no matter what I do I can not get anything out of the wheel cylinders!! I am just going to assume that it has been several years since the rear wheels have had any brakes & that I just need to replace the wheel cylinders . Of course by the time I came to this conclusion it was too late for any of the auto parts stores to be open . I sure don't want to take this thing wheeling without any rear brakes.

I was pretty mad at that point so I just moved on & worked on the wiper blade issue! No way I was going to let that get the best of me! I ended up grinding the head out of the pivoting pin where the braket meets the blade frame & tapping the pin out. I replaced it with a screw & it is good as new. Windsheild wiper blades....check! Told you I could do it Lumpy!

 

I just ordered some new wheel cylinders from Napa, they should be here this afternoon. If that doesn't fix the brake problem I am just going to light the truck on fire

I'm not sure exactlly where this thread is going, I was going to keep posting all of my work, from the engine to suspension & everywhere in between as I make progress on the build.
