Truck is running now(barely). I tried my best to diagnose the fuel pump issue and fix it the right way. Bench tested the fuel pump and it was good. Swapped in the maf out of both trucks and no luck. Checked the efi fuse and it was good so I'm guessing its the circuit opening relay. I'm not going to pay Toyota 70 bucks for a new one so I did the jumper wire thing. It runs like crap though.
When the distributor is turned all the way to one direction (cant remember if it is all the way advanced or retarded) it will crank right up and run after you turn the key once or twice but any time you give it some gas it will spit and sputter then finally tack up with the occasional miss. If you adjust the distributor from its current setting it will immediately cut off. I'm guessing the distributor is one tooth off but I ran out of time to take it out last time I was home.
