update on my progress. Once again I'm back on orders, but I did get some of the lift parts sanded and repainted. They were starting to show little signs of surface rust. Also I've found I'm going to have to get a new exhaust manifold gasket because the old one was too worn out when I put on the header so it leaks like crazy. I also ordered some new LED dash lights, and lights for the HVAC controls, and a new festoon for the overhead light. I'm going to try to rig up an LED with the door switch to light up under the dash for the foot areas. I missed having them like I had in my Eclipse I used to have. So it should be fun.

during my down time I've been doing research on different engine swaps. I kicked the idea of doing a 3.4 swap for some time, and wished for the knowlede and know how for a new 4.0. but I think I've settled on the realm of a SBC LS1. the hard determining part of this is that I don't know which to do the LS1 pickup engine that had an iron block or the LS2 that had the all aluminum engine.
I would have gone with the 3.4 just because I wasn't going to spend $700 on a bracket lift to fit eh engine combo for a SBC, but due to good fortune I got one for cheap. Now dont get excited that all of a sudden theres going to be a LS! in my truck in a short itme. I'm looking into this as a next winter project, as this winter is going to be the lift for the project. But seeing as I can't seem to get any great threads with pictures and info on the LS1 swap in particular I think it's time I provided my skills in the picture and description department when I finally do the swap.

I finally got to one of my projects by installing my superbright leds for my dash.
I used 194's for the three show in Red. And I believe 72's for the two in green. Also the one in the middle of the HVAC section.

The center of the HVAC does not fit with out work. Others have shaved down the light to make it fit. There's a plastic clear piece that goes on top of the light that has no room for the light. It has 2 hooks that keep it where it is. I simply placed it in its spot with out pushing the keepers shut and it won't push the light out of it's place.

Heres the comparison of the 194's

Now completed I like the change it made. It only has one hot spot on the HVAC but it's nothing to bad.

it's been a while since I updated. A lot has changed and I ended up buying a house and moving so the projects had to halt. But now I'm settled in and ready to move on. Problem is as with all things the LS1 swap idea got killed due to costs. Not to fret though another engine swap idea is on the books. I just need 500 dollars though and a good weekend. Hopefully details on what and how later.

wow so it's been a long summer, had some job changes and couldn't work on anything
So far the updates that have happened I sold my roll bar and kind of miss it. I bought a camper shell that doesn't match (true idaho style). I still haven't put on my bracket lift that will be my new years project because I will have the funds to purchase my shocks finally.
Looking still into an engine swap I found me a 3rz to swap in the guy want's 700 and has everything to do it with even the bell housing and all the goodies. Just got to wait and see maybe in march for my birthday...

So a question Im pushing around right now is the idea of zuk mod along with 4" inch bracket lift.
I bought a bracket lift only because it was there and the price was right. I plan on taking my 2" Body lift off because I hate seeing the frame rails underneath the body. Also Im seeing the dreaded saggy bottom syndrom happening and want to curb it for cheap.
So I was looking into the no cut zuk mod and was wondering how that could negativley affect the 4"lift in the back with blocks?
I realize that buying new springs is the ideal answer, but I'm cheap and on a serious budget. (as you can see I've had the lift for a year now and haven't had the funds to install with new shocks.)

Wow man, it has been some time, glad you finally got your lift on, did you end up doing the ZUK or what? Glad you have kept up with it though, even though it sucks not having the money to work on it. I know the feeling...I bought my Supra 2 years ago and it has just been sitting, little by little getting work done, but it really sucks knowing that you want to do something but don't have the money.

What is the ZUK mod for fixing the saggy rear problem? I was just gonna find some non-flat springs from some Tacoma or something in a junkyard, figured that would be the cheap method. Mine are just about negative flex with nothing in the bed, almost on the stops with weight. I knew I shouldn't have put a ton in the bed...
Sweet build. I need to do a lot on my 94, but don't have the money for most of it.
I like the roll bar, and the bucket seat install you did. I never like bright dash lights, so I'll stick with my dim stock ones.
Does the roll bar affect the width of the bed all that much? Only asking because I carry my snowmachine in my bed and the skis are a little wider than the width of the wells, still want room for that.
I'll keep checking your build status. Lots of good ideas for mine.
