I just went out for a little test ride. I took my truck on a very bumpy dirt road and it handled surprisingly well. I still need to get some better shocks, possibly Bilsteins. The ride isnt stiff, but it isnt soft, its right in the middle. The best part about this mod is that i did not have to cut my truck up! haha

I have the passenger side spacer in and the wheel is on. I need a new Ball joint for the driver side tho. I am just waiting for carquest to call me when it arrives at the store so i can pick it up and continue with the driver side =]

I'm calling around for springs now...Not many local yards have them. Did you get front springs or rear TJ springs? Do you recall the year?

Dolt...I just have to read a bit. "The springs are the front springs off a '97-'06 Jeep TJ"

You can use either front or rear springs but the front TJ springs i believe you have to cut your factory bumpstop to fit the springs in. With the rear TJ springs, i only had to cut the springs themselves, nothing on the truck was cut.

Mine came out of a 99 Wrangler.

So i got the spacers in finally. The Ball joint on the driver side just did not want to come out of the spindle. I tried cutting the BJ with my grinder but it still didn't work. I had to disconnect the lower BJ, brake caliper, and CV axle in order to get the whole hub assembly out of the truck and get it in my vise...what a day!!! haha here are some pics:

Made some relief cuts with the grinder:

All done grinding:

This is what was left of the Ball Joint

All Done!!

Thanks guys. I need to buy some new shocks first. Anybody know anything about the ones that wabfab sells for the 2 inch lift? I wanted bilsteins but i guess they only make them for 3-4inch lift? Any ideas?

As for tires, 33's would fit okay?
I wanted to get 31's because i do not want to regear...

I don't recall what the Wabbit has for shocks but it's not a bad price. If you go really cheap you can sit with your parts guy and just get a longer shock that has the same mounts.

I'm running 31's stock with no issue at all. I had 33x12.5's and it did ok but a lil sluggish. Being that I have a ton of hills I went back to 31's for now. 33x10.5's would do much better or go to 32x11.5's

Lumpy, I don't know what kind of shocks they are either but they will work perfect for me! lol I still want to get decent MPG's out of my truck so i think i will stick with 31's. I don't think 31x10.5x15 will look to bad.

Thanks Colby.
Good luck with your 93!

You'll do alright with the 31's Check out the Guard Dogs from

https://www.treadwright.com/c-7-31-10-5r15.aspx

I think those will do well for ya. If I stay on 31's I'll be getting those. I want to go to a 16" rim though so I can go a lil larger so who knows yet.

Those Guard dogs look like Wrangler's lol
Those are more of a mud tire right? I was kinda looking at an A/T to run year round. I like that Warden A/T tire, but i guess its back ordered.

I ordered the shocks from Wabfab, they are non labeled pro-comp shocks.
