Thanks, but I've actually got a set of 8" steel wheels I got for free that I'm probably going to put a set of weld-on beadlocks on for a play set.

OK, so minor update. I installed some Autopal E-code replacement lights last night with just the 55/60 H4 bulbs. I had a pair of the Hella 200s on my '82 and loved them, but for less than 1/2 the cost I figured I'd give these a shot.

Sealed beam high beam

I didn't think to get a pic of the new high beams but let me tell you, they throw out a considerable amount more light and I'm very pleased with them to say the least.

I didn't... I put the boot over the bulb and slid it down until just the prongs were sticking out so it was sealed similar to the stock lights. I tried to put the boot over the plug but it didn't really work too well so I figured it wasn't intended to be that way.

Love the build up so far....I have an 87 turbo that i am looking to get to where yours is at now. How did you wire the front turn/parking lights up to work? I have stripped my bumpers and have to start working on some rust removal so any help on those topics would be great. Thanks for helping out another WA Runner brother!

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments. There will likely be some good updates to this thread shortly as the head gasket blew on my the other day and I said ˟˟˟˟ it and kept driving it to where I needed to go anyway. So......I am in the market for a 3rz to swap instead of rebuilding the 22re.

Nothing much has changed with the rig, I have been too busy driving it and still haven't built a better rear bumper or even finished bracing the front one yet! SLACKER!! Anyway, I need to sell my '82 PU project so I have some $ to put into this thing. I'll have a for sale post up soon.

To answer the question about the top, I just painted it like normal. Sanded it down and shot some paint on it. I like that it's different and not all textured like most are.

The whole truck has a few scratches/dings on it now from a year of driving it and some of the seams show a little rust, but all in all it's holding up quite well except for the motor thing...and that I sort of expected knowing the person who rebuilt it before I got it.
